Melvins "King Buzzo" Vinyl, 12", EP, Reissue (2017 Boner Records pressing)
"King Buzzo" 12-inch was released by Buzz Osborne outside of his work with the Melvins. This solo release showcases King Buzzo’s multifaceted musical talents, featuring his characteristic guitar work, vocal stylings, and songwriting.
King Buzzo, whose real name is Roger Osborne, has been the creative force behind the Melvins since their inception in the early 1980s. His signature guitar style and distinct vocal delivery have shaped the band's unique sound, influencing countless musicians and bands over the years.
Melvins, formed in Montesano, Washington, in 1983, had already established a cult following with their earlier releases. Houdini was co-produced by the band and Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, who was a longtime friend and admirer of Melvins. Cobain’s involvement added to the album’s mystique, although his direct input was limited due to his personal struggles at the time.
